Keiynan Lonsdale was a Nigerian-Australian actor who was best known for his role in "Insurgent" (2015), as well as his recurring part on the superhero TV series "The Flash" (The CW, 2014- ). Born in Sydney, Australia to a Nigerian father and Aussie mother, Lonsdale knew he wanted to be an actor at a very young age. When he was just a young teenager, Lonsdale started to audition for roles in Australia's homegrown film and TV industry. At the age of 16 he nabbed his very first film role as a dancer in the music comedy "Razzle Dazzle." Although the film was not well known outside of Australia, it instilled in Lonsdale the motivation he needed to continue chasing his dream. However, it would be another four years before he landed his next substantial role on the TV series "Dance Academy" (ABC1/ABC3, 2010-13). Lonsdale played a dance instructor on the popular teen drama, and before long became a weekly fixture on TV sets all across Australia. It wasn't long before Hollywood took notice. In 2015, Lonsdale was cast as Uriah in the second film of the widely popular science fiction action series, "Divergent." The film, "Insurgent," came out in March 2015, with Lonsdale playing the supporting part of Uriah. "Insurgent" was a global hit, with Lonsdale standing out as one of the fresh new faces in the series. 2015 was also the year he nabbed a recurring role as Wally West on the American superhero series "The Flash." Lonsdale appeared in 12 episodes of the show's second season. Furthermore, in 2015 it was announced that Lonsdale would reprise his role as Uriah in the third installment of the "Divergent" film series, "Allegiant" (2016).
