Born and raised in Ontario, Canada, Katie Douglas started acting at a very young age, first appearing in commercials in 2004 at the age of 6. After a number of years on the commercial circuit, her first credited screen role was on an episode of "F2: Forensic Factor" (Discovery Channel 2003- ) in 2007. When she was 14, Douglas appeared in a few episodes of "Less Than Kind" (City/HBO Canada 2008-2013) and also notched a one-off appearance on "Alphas" (Syfy 2011-12). Shortly after, she made her film debut in the Heather Graham-starring thriller "Compulsion" (2013). Her biggest role to date was as Sally Wilcox in the book adaptation "Spooksville" (Hub Network 2013-14), which earned her a Daytime Emmy nomination. However, it only lasted a single season. Fortunately, that wasn't the only show she was on. Douglas was a recurring character on the sci-fi show "Defiance" (Syfy 2013-2015) and its webisode series "Defiance: The Lost Ones" (2014). In 2016, she started playing Conner Wayney in the Jason Priestley and Molly Ringwald-starring sitcom "Raising Expectations" (Family Channel 2016- ). In that period, she also appeared on shows such as "Eyewitness" (USA Network 2016), "Burden of Truth" (CBC 2018- ), and "Max & Shred" (Nickelodeon 2014-15). Douglas' next major role was on the well-received "Mary Kills People" (Global 2017- ) as the title character's teenage daughter's friend. She also appeared in the film "Every Day" (2018), based on the best-selling book of the same name.
