John Hargreaves was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. In 1981, he appeared in the Australian stage production of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof." Hargreaves started his acting career landing roles in such films as "The Removalists" (1975), "Mad Dog" (1976) and "Don's Party" (1976) with Ray Barrett. He also appeared in "Deathcheaters" (1976), "Little Boy Lost" (1978) and "Long Weekend" (1979). He continued to act in productions like "Careful, He Might Hear You" (1983) with Wendy Hughes, "Beyond Reasonable Doubt" (1984) and "My First Wife" (1984). He also appeared in "Sky Pirates" (1986). Toward the end of his career, he continued to act in the period drama "Comrades" (1989) with Robin Soans, "Rome, Romeo" (1992) and the drama "Blackfellas" (1993) with John Moore. He also appeared in the drama "No Worries" (1994) with Geoff Morrell. Hargreaves was most recently credited in the Nicholas Hope comedy "Lust and Revenge" (1997). Hargreaves passed away in January 1996 at the age of 51.
