Joel Tobeck was a prolific actor who created a name for himself largely on the big screen. Tobeck started his acting career landing roles in films, such as "Grampire" (1992), "Topless Women Talk About Their Lives" (1997) and the drama "Memory and Desire" (1998) with Yuri Kinugawa. He also appeared in "Channelling Baby" (2000) with Danielle Cormack and the Elijah Wood box office smash action flick "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" (2002). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Cleopatra 2525" (1999-2001). He followed this prestigious recognition with roles in the Sam Neill romance "Perfect Strangers" (2004) and the Josh Lucas drama "Stealth" (2005). Recently, he tackled roles in the romantic comedy "Eagle vs Shark" (2007) with Loren Horsley, the action picture "Mee-Shee: The Water Giant" (2007) with Bruce Greenwood and "The Water Horse" (2007) with Emily Watson. He also appeared in "Accidents Happen" (2009). Most recently, Tobeck acted on "Hawaii Five-O" (CBS, 2010-).
