Mateo is obsessed with climbing Annapurna. During his attempt, however, he falls and remains injured until a mountaineer appears who takes him and cares for him. However, Mateo's desire to conquer the mountain remains unbroken.

Writer Antonio secludes himself in the mountains and falls in lust with local Berta. After realising the oddities of the rural community, the author starts to question the lines between reality and fiction.
