Throughout his Hollywood career, Ira Hawkins acted in a wide variety of dramatic films. Hawkins started his acting career landing roles in films, such as the drama "Asunder" (1998) with Blair Underwood and the Scott Wolf drama "Emmett's Mark" (2001). Hawkins also contributed music to "Just an Old Sweet Song" (CBS, 1976-77). Following that project, he worked on "Freedomland" (2006), the romantic comedy "Just My Luck" (2006) with Lindsay Lohan and "Premium" (2007) with Dorian Missick. He also played parts in television during these years, including roles in "Rescue Me" (FX, 2003-2011) and "Lipstick Jungle" (NBC, 2007-09). In the early 2000s, he then appeared in the romantic comedy "The Perfect Holiday" (2007) with Morris Chestnut, the Ricky Gervais fantastical comedy "Ghost Town" (2008) and the Carmen De Lavallade documentary "Carmen & Geoffrey" (2009). He held additional roles in television including a part on "White Collar" (USA, 2009-2014). Most recently, Hawkins acted in "The Other Woman" (2011).
