Born in Milltown, New Jersey in 1976, actor Danny Pintauro first came to audience's attention as Jonathan Bower on the sitcom "Who's The Boss?"(ABC 1984-1992). Pintauro's first appearance on television came in 1982 when he played Paul Ryan on the soap opera "As the World Turns" (CBS 1956-2010). Pintauro next appeared in the movie "Cujo" (1983) as Tad Trenton. Pintauro made a number of other short-lived appearances on television in the 1980s, including guest spots on "Highway to Heaven" (NBC 1984-89), but was best known for his role as the boyish Jonathan on "Who's The Boss?" Pintauro found his career flagging after the conclusion of the series and pursued his education, attending Middlesex County College in Edison, NJ, and later Stanford University where he studied English and theater. In 1997 Pintauro came out as gay in an interview with the tabloid magazine National Enquirer. Pintauro become something of a gay icon, and appeared in a number of stage performances in the queer theater community, including "Mommie Queerest" and "The Velocity of Gary." In 2010 Pintauro appeared on an episode of "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" (ABC Family 2008-2013). In 2015, Pintauro did an interview with Oprah Winfrey in which he revealed that he has been living with the HIV virus since 2003 and said that he was going to devote his professional life to AIDS activism.
