Danny Kortchmar brought his musical talents to a variety of films over the course of his Hollywood career. Kortchmar began his entertainment career with his music featured in films like "Cheech & Chong's Up In Smoke" (1978) with Cheech Marin, the comedy adaptation "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" (1982) with Sean Penn and the comedy "Real Genius" (1985) with Val Kilmer. His music also appeared in the Matthew Modine dramatic adaptation "Vision Quest" (1985). Though known first for his music, Kortchmar also acted in "This Is Spinal Tap" (1984) with Rob Reiner. In the eighties, Kortchmar's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like "About Last Night" (1986), the action picture "Fire With Fire" (1986) with Craig Sheffer and the drama sequel "The Color of Money" (1986) with Paul Newman. His work was also in the Robert Arthur dramedy "Skin Deep" (1989). Kortchmar's music was also featured in the Michael Jordan animated adventure "Space Jam" (1996), "Trial and Error" (1997) and "Coyote Ugly" (2000). Most recently, Kortchmar appeared on the documentary "Lightning in a Bottle" (2004) with Aerosmith.
