Before age 15, Colin Ford already had a resume that many seasoned actors would kill for, with parts in significant films and television programs. Getting into show business while still attending preschool, Ford had a bit part in the feature comedy "Sweet Home Alabama" (2002) and later landed a guest spot on the superhero series "Smallville" (CW, 2001-2011). In 2007, he was cast as the younger version of main character Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) on the spooky show "Supernatural" (WB/CW, 2005- ), a part he returned to numerous times. Ford has also worked on various animated productions, including the popular shows "Family Guy" (Fox, 1999-2002/2005- ) and "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" (Disney Junior, 2011- ). After garnering attention as the brooding son of Matt Damon's lead character in the heartwarming drama "We Bought a Zoo" (2011), Ford joined the cast of the tense Stephen King TV adaptation "Under the Dome" (CBS, 2013-15), which established him as more than just another former kid actor.
