Elena receives a call from her six-year-old son saying that he is lost on a beach in France and not able to find his father. It is the last time she speaks to her son. Ten years later, she meets a teenager who reminds her of him.

Mateo is obsessed with climbing Annapurna. During his attempt, however, he falls and remains injured until a mountaineer appears who takes him and cares for him. However, Mateo's desire to conquer the mountain remains unbroken.
