A prolific star on German television since the early 2000s, Bjarne Madel started out as a guest on various series before being featured on "Stromberg," an "Office"-like comedy. This paved the way for more small-screen roles as well as the occasional feature: for example, the '06 "Lumber Kings," in which he played a man who tries to save his village by staging a lumberjack competition. During the latter 2000s, Madel began co-starring in the crime-themed comedy "Mord mit Aussicht" as well as "Der kleine Mann" -- two more successes. Meanwhile, since 2011, he has been starring in the sitcom "Der Tatortreiniger," his most acclaimed work to date.
