Drawn to the realms of science fiction and horror, actor Ari Millen spent his career on fantastical quests and surrounded by otherworldly characters. From the earliest of his big screen ventures, like the horror comedy "Monster Brawl" (2011), to his memorable turn on the popular series "Orphan Black" (Space/BBC America 2013-), Millen proved himself right at home in even the strangest of terrains. Ari Millen was born in the city of Kingston in Ontario, Canada. His passion for acting began during his tenure at the local Queen Elizabeth Collegiate and Vocational Institute, and continued on into his studies at Ryerson College, in nearby Toronto. He graduated from the institution's theatre program in 2007, stepping instantly into the world of screen acting. Among Millen's earliest roles were minor appearances on television series like "The Smart Woman Survival Guide" (W Network 2006-), "ReGenesis" (The Movie Network 2004-08), and "Nikita" (The CW 2010-13). Millen made his big screen debut in the horror comedy "Monster Brawl" (2011), which he followed closely with a turn in "Exit Humanity" (2011). For both pictures, the actor doubled as a member of the props department. Millen's next major project would take him back to television: he joined the esteemed science fiction series "Orphan Black" (Space/BBC America 2013-) in its second season, playing homicidal zealot Mark Rollins. As "Orphan Black" beefed up Millen's visibility, he began to take more and more roles in film and TV. He appeared in the sci-fi film "Ejecta" (2015), starred in the horror movie "Hellmouth" (2015), and took a recurring role on the program "12 Monkeys" (Syfy 2015-).
