With his commanding screen presence and striking characters, it was quite apparent that Aaron Pierre honed his craft in a formal setting before embarking on a professional career on screen. Pierre attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, where he studied for four years in the school's highly respected professional acting program. Pierre also learned the careful art of acting in realistic fight scenes without causing real injury while training at the British Institute of Dramatic Combat, where he attained a Level-3 distinction. Shortly after graduating from LAMDA in 2017, Pierre landed his first television role, appearing in two episodes of the British crime "Prime Suspect 1973" (ITV, 2017- ). He soon followed this with a similar two-episode role on "The A Word" (BBC, 2016- ). Around this same time, Pierre auditioned for the fantasy series "Britannia" (Sky, 2017- ). Though the audition only took ten minutes, Pierre was cast on the series playing the role of Antonius. Not long after, he was cast on another show, taking on the role of Dev-EM on the Superman origin series "Krypton" (Syfy, 2018- ).
