NITV has a proud history of bringing you the best of Indigenous rugby league and this year is no different.
Once again we will be screening coverage from both sides of the border with the highlights from the Koori Knockout and the Murri Carnival screening across the October long weekend.
This will be the ninth year that NITV has covered the Knockout and the focus will, once again, be on providing two full days of live coverage (Sunday, 2nd and Monday, 3rd), as well as capturing the atmosphere and the footy of this important sporting and cultural event. NITV will also be bringing you the highlights of the Murri Carnival with the semis and finals of both the men's and women's competitions.
With a finite budget and resources NITV is not able to cover every sporting or cultural event that we would like to and in this case we are unable to provide full coverage of both the rugby league events. In order to provide a balance of content from across the country our footage from the Murri Carnival and the Koori Knockout will be condensed into a single weekend of action packed footy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why aren’t you covering the KKO Gala Draw ?
This is not part of NITV’s planned sports coverage. Last year we trialed the broadcast of the draw but will not be proceeding with it again this year as a full program. The Point with Stan Grant will be crossing to the venue where NITV Journalist Kris Flanders will provide a brief wrap of the draw outcomes.
Why aren’t you covering Friday and Saturday games from the KKO?
NITV is covering two full days of live action, the Sunday and the Monday, just like in previous years. We are unable to cover the Friday and Saturday action due to the costs involved in producing these events and importantly, to ensure we offer a balanced schedule of programming that appeals to all NITV viewers. Follow us on to keep updated with the latest scores and stories coming from the Knockout.
Why isn’t the coverage on my TV when I says it should be?
All the times we advertise are AEDST. The live coverage may be delayed if you are not on the East Coast. Check your local guides for the most accurate information.
Will NITV be at the Knockout again this year?
Yes, we will have a film crew there and will be running a stall all weekend so come up and say "hi" to our friendly crew.
