A police officer has been injured and several protesters have been arrested in a protest outside the Kalgoorlie courthouse over the death of an Aboriginal teenager.
A police car was damaged and the windows of the courthouse were smashed.
Tensions in the Goldfields city have been high since the death of a 14-year-old boy on Monday.
A 55-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter and was due to appear in court today. Hundreds of protesters gathered outside the courthouse, with some trying to force their way in and others pelting the building with rocks and bottles.
One police officer sustained a head injury when hit by a bottle.
Police allege the 14-year-old boy was riding a stolen motorbike at the time of the incident. The ABC has reported that police have linked the motorbike to the man accused of manslaughter.
