Mills hits record in debut Nets game

After scoring an historic medal at the Tokyo Olympics, the Naghiralgal, Dauareb-Meriam and Kokatha man has continued the stellar streak with his new team.

Patty Mills has shot out of the gate in his first game with the Brooklyn Nets, equalling the record for the most three-pointers in a debut game.

In 29 minutes against the Bucks, Mills was a perfect seven-from-seven from beyond the arc with only superstar teammate Kevin Durant outscoring him.

However, the performance of the two men was not enough to secure victory, as reigning champions Milwaukee romped to a 127-104 win.

Despite the loss, Nets management will no doubt be patting themselves on the back for Mills' acquisition.

The Muralag and Nyunga man moved from San Antonio during the off-season, after a successful 10-season career with that team.

It's the latest in a series of achievements confirming him as one of the rising stars of basketball.

Fresh off an historic victory of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Mills looks set to continue shooting goals with his new team.
