Wild weather conditions hammer Queensland and New South Wales

Wet weather is continuing to impact much of Australia's east coast, with several communities on alert for damaging storms and possible flooding. More than 100 millimetres of rain has fallen over a 24-hour period in parts of Sydney, northern New South Wales and South East Queensland. Several flood warnings are in place as the low pressure system tracks south, and heavy rain and damaging winds expected to intensify.
