Ukraine's Eurovision contestants bring cheer to refugees in Jerusalem
Published 6 April 2022, 4:10 am
Kalush Orchestra, Ukraine's representative for the 2022 Eurovision contest, performed in front of an audience of Ukrainian refugees and Jewish immigrants in Jerusalem. Since the start of the war in Ukraine, Psiuk has left the stage to run a 20-strong volunteer group, supplying medicines and helping people flee the war. One of his band members served in the territorial defence unit. The Israeli organisers of the event say it is the first time the group got together since the beginning of the war. Psiuk said “Stefania” had become an anthem for Ukrainians during the war.
