Australia's Foreign Minister Penny Wong has expressed concern about the escalation of violence in Lebanon, calling for diplomacy as the only way to solve conflict in the Middle East. But her comments in a speech at the UN, calling for a clear timeline for recognition of Palestinian statehood, have caused controversy back home.
