'A fire season like no other' - that's how the New South Wales Coroner has described the 2019-20 Black Summer bushfires, handing down a lengthy report into the cause and responses to the deadly fires. Thirty-four people were killed during Black Summer. The fires' worst impacts were felt across south-eastern Australia. The State Coroner made 28 recommendations to avoid a repeat of the catastrophe, but some residents say more is needed to be done.
