New research reveals there has been a 20% drop in the rate of hysterectomy procedures on Australian women since 2015, in an encouraging sign, women are opting for less invasive treatments to manage heavy periods. But health experts say there are still barriers to accessing the full range of treatment options, particularly for First Nations women and those from culturally diverse backgrounds
