Clinical trial to test engineered skin

A clinical trial testing lab grown skin to treat severe burns is underway at Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital. It's one of a handful of labs around Australia working on engineered skin, which is made using a patient's own cells. Scientists are working to find ways to generate skin sheets faster and reduce scarring.
