Preparations are in full swing across Britain for official celebrations to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Four days of events begin on Thursday to mark the first British monarch to serve 70 years on throne. The occasion is set to be the spectacle of a lifetime for some, but for others it serves to mark the end of an era.
