Australia must find a place to store AUKUS nuclear waste

As part of the AUKUS deal, Australia will have to find somewhere to store high-level nuclear waste generated from spent nuclear reactors. The federal government has acknowleged that this is the most complex part of the submarine life-cycle. But it's raised questions about where the highly-radioactive waste will go.
