Abortion law changes to be debated in South Australia's parliament

South Australia's state parliament is debating an amendment to its abortion laws that, if passed, would make it unlawful to terminate a pregnancy in the third trimester - that is, after 28 weeks. Currently, abortions after 22 weeks and six days are permitted in circumstances deemed medically appropriate by two practitioners.
