Sam Ringwaldt, the CEO of Conry Tech, says a global pledge to reduce emissions from heating, ventilation, and air conditioning is a significant step forward in recognising the role the sector can play in fighting climate change.
The pledge commits signatories to cut emissions caused by cooling by 68 per cent by 2050.
Mr Ringwaldt says he is encouraged the COP28 agreement has been backed by 63 nations, including the US, the UK, France and Germany.
He says Australia should also join them.
