After Donald Trump met Queen Elizabeth II in England on Friday, the official White House Twitter account let followers know the president was "departing the UK".
Mr Trump then flew to Scotland.
While he could have taken a detour through international airspace on the way, Scotland is most certainly part of the United Kingdom.

The tweet was live for four hours and was then removed.
Before seeing the Queen at Windsor Castle, Mr Trump met with Prime Minister Theresa May after criticising her Brexit strategy and expressing the opinion that her political rival Boris Johnson "would be a great prime minister" in an interview with The Sun newspaper.
The president has since told media that he didn't criticise Ms May, calling the claim "fake news".
Mr Trump's visit was met with large protests, with more expected in Scotland where the president will visit a golf course that he owns.
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn told protesters in London: "We are asserting our right to democracy, our right to freedom of speech and our right to want a world that is not divided by misogyny, racism and hate".
