Victoria has recorded two new COVID-19 cases and no deaths as the state government announces a partial easing of restrictions.

The new cases, revealed by the state government on Sunday morning, bring the 14-day rolling case count down to 7.5 in metropolitan Melbourne. Regional Victoria's two-week average remains at 0.5.

There are 137 active cases across the state, including only seven in regional Victoria and 10 in aged care settings.

There are now 12 Victorians in hospital, none of whom are receiving intensive care.

Sunday's case figures came hours before Premier Daniel Andrews , which includes extending the 5km limit for exercise and shopping to 25km and the scrapping of the two-hour limit for exercise and socialising in Melbourne.
Saturday saw the state register .

Mr Andrews hit back at federal Health Minister Greg Hunt, who said the lower daily case numbers meant it was time to reopen hospitality, free up movement and allow family reunions.

"Whilst people are entitled to different views, some people should reflect on the fact that they are in fact a health minister and that actually requires a certain standard," he said.

People in Australia must stay at least 1.5 metres away from others. Check your jurisdiction's restrictions on gathering limits. If you are experiencing cold or flu symptoms, stay home and arrange a test by calling your doctor or contact the Coronavirus Health Information Hotline on 1800 020 080.
