Sara Zelenak is being remembered as a beautiful, joyful and “remarkable” young woman by her loved ones after the Brisbane woman became the second Australian confirmed dead following the London terror attacks.
Friends have also vowed to honour her life by "being kind and accepting of one another".
The 21-year-old was separated from her friends during the attack on the London Bridge and the nearby Borough Market on Saturday night.
Family, friends and her former Moreton Bay College school community were notified on Wednesday afternoon Ms Zelenak, who had been working in London as an au pair, was among the dead.
Her mother, Julie Wallace, has also reportedly confirmed the death in a post on Facebook.
Ms Zelenak’s friends have posted tributes on the social media site describing her as a beautiful individual.
“You bought so much joy into our lives,” Sam Hetherington posted on Facebook.
“I can't believe we don't get to grow old together.”
Ms Hetherington said he’d received a message from Ms Zelenak just last Thursday in which she'd said 'Everything will always work out'.
“You would be so overwhelmed by the love from everyone,” she added.
“Rest easy wherever you are, I hope there is lots of KFC and hot boys with you.”
Another friend, Ellie Bishop, said Ms Zelenak loved her family and friends deeply.
“Such a character, with the funniest sudden bursts of laughter, and a great talent for using noises instead of adjectives," she wrote.
“Her quirky sense of humor and flailing arm gestures being her way of self expression and the reason we became instant friends.”
Ms Zelenak loved adventure, travelling and living her life to the fullest, Ms Bishop said.
“I speak of your great love, Sarz, radiating from your great big heart, as it is what has always set you apart from the rest.
“I find solace in the fact that the hate that saw you taken from us, you have never felt inside, making you a remarkable young woman and seeing your incredible soul now float above us to the most amazing of places.
“We will honor your life by being kind to and accepting of one another, encouraging and supporting one another, and by living every single day to the absolute fullest, with gratitude towards every single sunrise we see.”
Ms Zelenak's aunt Tara spoke to media outside the family's home in Ormiston, southeast Queensland, on Tuesday saying the family was "emotionally distraught".
She broke down as she described her "absolutely beautiful" niece.
"She's the girl next door, she's a very special, kindred spirit," she said.
"She's one of those girls that doesn't drink, doesn't do drugs, doesn't do anything wrong. She's amazing and she's 21 years of age."
Ms Zelenak's mother told Brisbane radio station 97.3FM she and her husband had been looking forward to travelling to the UK to see their daughter.
"The last time I spoke to her was our time Friday afternoon at 4:42 and she said, 'Oh mum! It's only 28 days until you and I and dad can have baguettes and cheese and croissants in Paris. I'm so excited to go to Paris,'" she said.
