Comedian Magda Szubanski hopes Australians can "find it in their hearts" to vote yes in the same-sex marriage postal survey.
"I'm not in the business of trying to persuade anyone of doing anything they don't want to do," she told AAP at the Melbourne yes launch of Get Out The Vote on Sunday.
"(But) I just hope people can find it in their hearts to understand where we're coming from, which is about ... for the people who want marriage equality it's about strengthening marriage."
She urged people to not put the voting ballot aside, but send it back in the post as soon as possible.
"Our great concern is that people will get lost in a bunch of bills and all that sort of stuff. So please, as soon as you get the letter take it down to a post box and just send it."
Szubanski was joined by tennis legend Frank Sedgman and three-time Hawthorn premiership player Russell Greene at the launch the national #PostYourYes campaign.
