Hollywood's biggest night is returning, with movie stars set to walk the iconic red carpet at the 96th Academy Awards in Los Angeles.
The nominations are chock full of the year's biggest releases, from Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer to Greta Gerwig's Barbie.
If you plan on tuning in from Australia, here is everything you need to know.
When are the 2024 Oscars?
The Oscars take place on Sunday 10 March (local time) at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California.
For those of us in Australia, that means the event will fall on Monday 11 March, starting at 10am AEDT.
If you are keen to catch the pre-show with red-carpet arrivals and interviews, they generally start about an hour or two before the main show — so make sure to set your alarms.
Who is hosting the Oscars?
American comedian and late night TV host Jimmy Kimmel will be on deck as host for the night, with Emmy nominee Molly McNearney serving as executive producer for the second year in a row.
Kimmel hosted the Oscars in 2017 — the year of the infamous — and in 2018 and 2023. He'll join the likes of Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Crystal who've also hosted multiple times.
Helping the show to move along will be the multitude of award presenters, which this year include names such as Emily Blunt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lawrence, Zendaya, Ryan Gosling and Australia's very own Chris Hemsworth.

Where can I watch the Oscars in Australia?
For those planning to watch on the big screen, 7Bravo will broadcast live for the E! pre-ceremony show, including red carpet arrivals from 10am AEDT.
Switch to Channel 7 or 7Plus once the Oscars ceremony starts.
For those on the go (or even cheekily watching while at work), the show will be livestreamed on YouTube on the .
Keep an eye out on social media too, most of the world's biggest entertainment outlets will be streaming, snapping pics and uploading content all day long.

Who will be performing at the Oscars?
Luckily for those who didn't manage to make it to theatres as much as they'd wish — all five live performances set for the Oscars are this year's nominees in the Best Original Song category.
This means we will be treated to Ryan Gosling and Mark Ronson's rendition of I'm Just Ken, from Barbie — along with Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas O’Connell performing What Was I Made For? from the same film.
Jon Batiste will be performing It Never Went Away from the movie American Symphony, and Becky G will sing The Fire Inside from Flamin' Hot.
Marking the first time that a Indigenous Native American artist will perform at the ceremony and the first-ever nomination for a music Oscar is Scott George and the Osage Singers, who will be performing Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People) from Killers of the Flower Moon.

Who is nominated for an Oscar in 2024?
Following the success of Everything, Everywhere, All at Once, which swept the Oscars last year with seven wins including Best Picture, this year all eyes are on Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer, which leads the pack with 13 nominations.
The Best Picture category is stacked with contenders, including another "BarbenHeimer" face-off, but also features titles like Killers of the Flower Moon, Anatomy of a Fall, and Past Lives.
