Media giant News Corp has appointed Stacey Brown as its new chief financial officer of the organisation's Australian arm.
Ms Brown has been acting CFO since Susan Panuccio was promoted to become global financial chief in March.
The Rupert Murdoch-controlled company on Monday said Ms Brown held a number of senior financial roles including chief financial officer for the Lowy Family Group and head of group reporting at Qantas, before joining News Corp in 2012.
She was promoted to deputy chief financial officer in 2015.
News Corp Australasia executive chairman Michael Miller said Ms Brown's deep understanding of the company's varied operations and her extensive expertise made her the ideal successor to Ms Panuccio.
"Stacey has repeatedly and conclusively demonstrated her astute financial and leadership skills," Mr Miller said in a statement.
"She has a broad range of financial and corporate expertise which will be invaluable as we continue to transform the company and our portfolio and pursue new growth opportunities."
Ms Panuccio said Ms Brown's appointment was a well-deserved promotion and recognition of her "outstanding" financial and leadership skills.
"Stacey is a key member of my team and it gives me great pleasure when we can promote internally," Ms Panuccio said.
"She has the expertise and knowledge to perform this role to the highest standard."
