Taylor Swift finished her Australian tour by performing one last show in Sydney on Monday night.

It has been reported that some 320,000 fans had tickets to Swift's four concerts at Stadium Australia in Sydney, and 288,000 people attended three shows in Melbourne.

And while officials discuss the economic benefits of the 'Swift effect', her fans have shared their admiration on social media, with videos from her concerts going viral and attracting love even from those who say they're "not Swifties".

22 hat

The ultimate dream of every Taylor Swift fan is to get their hands on her iconic '22' hat.

The hat symbolises the opening of the Red era portion of Swift's Eras show, marking a memorable tradition where Swift gifts it to one lucky fan during her performance of the song 22.

The most heartwarming story related to the famous hat of the Eras Tour in Australia was about a young girl named Scarlett.

In October, she was diagnosed with a high-grade glioma, an aggressive form of brain cancer with a prognosis of 12 to 18 months of life.

Her stepmum, Natalie Oliver, shared Scarlett's courageous battle in a post on Instagram, saying: "She has been an absolute warrior through surgeries, radiation and other treatments that were done to try and prolong her life."

Oliver said that Scarlett was granted a wish from the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which was to meet Swift, but they were not able to arrange it.

After Oliver's heartfelt plea on social media to share Scarlett's story, Swift's team reached out to the family, granting her the opportunity to meet Swift and receive the coveted 22 hat during the singer's Sydney show on Friday.

Scarlett was picked from the sold-out crowd of more than 80,000 people during the concert.

In a fan-shared video, Taylor kneels to embrace the young girl, kissing her hands before placing the hat on her head. The moment quickly went viral.
"You are AMAZING!! Thank you so much for making Scarlett's dream come true!!" Oliver wrote on Instagram, tagging Swift.

"To everyone who shared her story to help us make this happen we are beyond [grateful]!!! Scarlett is on top of the world right now!!"

Another viral video with thousands of comments was of a young boy dancing at the far end of the stage. After Swift gave him a hug and the 22 hat, he put it on and continued dancing to the song.

Special broadcast for ticketless fans

During Friday's show, Swift gave fans who missed out a small glimpse of the concert.

The singer went live on Instagram at one point in the show to announce an alternate edition of her upcoming album The Tortured Poets Department.

Surprise songs

During each of the singer's concerts on the Eras tour, she has performed two tracks that are not on the usual 44-song setlist.

Swift has described this part as one of her favourite parts of the night, and it seems that's the case for many fans as well, with many trying to guess which ones they'll hear.

Her aim during earlier legs of the tour was to avoid repeating any song, but she explained to audiences in Australia that it no longer felt right.

She instead has performed a series of mash-ups along the Australian run.

Fans who attended the first Sydney show due to wild weather conditions — but Swift brought her out to perform a surprise mash-up later in the evening.
