Australian cricket veteran David Warner has issued a plea on social media for the return of his 'baggy green' cricket caps, which he said were taken out of his luggage.
The luggage had been transported by Qantas, and had been through a hotel.
In a video posted to Instagram, Warner said the backpack containing the caps had been taken while the Australian team's luggage was being freighted by the airline between Melbourne and Sydney.
"Unfortunately, someone has taken my backpack out of my actual luggage, which had my backpack and my girls' presents in there. Inside this backpack was my baggy greens," he said.
"It's sentimental to me, it's something that I would love to have back in my hands walking out there this week."
Warner said the hotel and Qantas had checked their CCTV footage and had not seen anybody take the backpack, but that Qantas' cameras do have blind spots.
A Qantas Freight spokesperson said the team was doing "everything they could" to help find the bag.
"Our freight teams are continuing to search the terminals in Melbourne and Sydney and reviewing CCTV to try and locate the missing bag," the spokesperson said.
"We appreciate the importance of this bag and we're doing everything we can to help find it."
Warner asked whoever had taken the bag to return the baggy greens, and said they could keep his backpack.
"If it's the backpack you really wanted, I have a spare one here," he said.
"You won't get into trouble; please reach out to Cricket Australia or myself via my social media and I'm happy to give this to you if you return my baggy greens."
Warner announced his retirement from One Day International (ODI) cricket on Monday, and will play his final Test in Sydney on Wednesday.
