The twin sister of baby Gammy will remain with parents David and Wendy Farnell following a in Western Australia.

The Farnells were accused of abandoning their baby son Gammy in Thailand with surrogate mother Pattaramon Chanbua while they returned with Gammy's twin sister Pipah to Australia.

The couple denied abandoning their son, who has Down Syndrome and was born with a hole in his heart.

Ms Chanuba sought to have the Gammy's twin sister returned to her but in the Family Court today, Chief Judge Stephen Thackray ordered she stay with the Farnells in Perth.

Justice Thackray also found that the Farnells did not abandon Gammy.
