In a matter of days, dancing gorillas and yodelling rappers will be duking it out for a chance at musical glory as the Eurovision Song Contest kicks off in the Ukrainian city of Kiev.
For the third time, Australia will be competing in the event, with 17-year-old Australian X Factor winner, Isaiah Firebrace following in the footsteps of Guy Sebastian and Dami Im.
The former X Factor winner will perform a song called Don't Come Easy on Tuesday in the first of two semi-finals as he aims to qualify for Saturday's grand final.
Double J presenter Myf Warhurst and comedian Joel Creasey will host the SBS coverage of the event, replacing Julia Zemiro and Sam Pang.
"I love his song, I think he'll blow them away because I think he's a surprise package," Creasey said.
"I think Isaiah can do it. I feel like he's just got some little bit of magic about him which makes me feel he could do this," Warhurst added.
Firebrace will be up against 17 other countries on Tuesday, with 10 qualifying from each semi-final for a place alongside the "Big Five" -- France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK -- and the host country Ukraine, who all automatically qualify for the grand final.
The favourite to win is Italy's Francesco Gabbani who performs his song Occidentali's Karma, alongside a man dancing in a gorilla costume.
Another quirky act is a pair from Romania, Ilinca and Alex Florea, who combine rapping with yodelling for their song Yodel It!
Sebastian came fifth in 2015 with his song Tonight Again while last year Im ended up in second place with her song Sound Of Silence.
In another Australian interest, Anja Nissen, who won The Voice in 2014, is competing for her parents' home country Denmark with her ballad Where I Am.
Nissen, from Sydney's Blue Mountains, will take part in the second semi-final on Thursday.
* SBS will broadcast the semi-finals and grand final live with semi-final 1 airing on Wednesday 10 May at 5am (AEST) semi final 2 on Friday May 12 at 5am and the grand final on Sunday May 14 at 5am.
