Taimoor Salahuddin or better known by his pseudonym Mooroo recently created a video as a guide for first-time travellers to Pakistan.
The video starts off by clearing some misconceptions that people have about Pakistan in a comedic way.
“We do not travel on camels as some foreigners seem to believe, it’s a recreational activity,” says Mooroo.
Mooroo states that the ideal time to travel is between the months of March and June which is considered to be the spring season leading into the summers.
“This guide will be sort of summary for what one should to do when visiting Pakistan for the first time.
“The best way to experience all the places in the north of Pakistan would generally require 30 days.”The trip Itinerary covers the following locations to visit:

The video goes on further detailing that the best airport to land at is Islamabad International airport as it is the closest to the northern areas.
“You start at the crack of dawn from Islamabad and head towards Nathia Gali by road. Soon flat land will turn into lush green mountains…arrive at your first getaway, a mountain resort.” says Mooroo. Throughout the video Mooroo showcases the best local cuisine to eat, activities to do and places to stay when visiting these places.

Earlier this year at the World Government Summit, Prime Minister Imran Khan emphasised the importance of tourism for Pakistan's growing economy.
"Pakistan with its abundance mountains and historical monuments would like to tap on the tourism sector and boost the economy as well.
“Half of the world’s highest peaks are in Pakistan, we have about 1,000km of coastline as well as historical monuments and ancient cities,“ said Mr Khan.
According to a published by the World Travel and Tourism Council in 2018, the total contribution to Pakistan's GDP via tourism was USD 22.28 billion dollars.
The world average of total contribution to a country's GDP via tourism is USD 62.9 billion dollars.
Realising the potential of growth Imran Khan has announced various plans and directives to promote tourism since taking office.
Just a few days ago the PM directed the Government of Pakistan occupied Kashmir to devise a comprehensive plan for the promotion of tourism in the area.
