Pakistan prepares for World Cup glory in Australia

The women’s T20 Cricket World Cup kicks off in Australia with Pakistan playing West Indies, England, South Africa and Thailand in group matches.

Pakistan team will start their journey down under with its first warm-up match against India. The match will be played in Brisbane coming Sunday.

Pakistan’s cricket team captain Bismah Maroof is hopeful the team will do well with new and experienced players.

“I am really excited to lead the team in the World Cup. The players are looking forward to an amazing World Cup.” 

Bismah who has led Pakistan in 36 T20Is and scored more than 2,000 runs says that in the last two years, the team has overall grown a lot.

“We have been playing good cricket since a while and would like to continue the same and get good results in the World Cup.

“Javeria and Nida are two of our experienced players who have played a few World Cups.”
Nida’s experience in the recent Big Bash League in Australia will be really helpful for us.
