Many Australians are looking forward to spending Christmas surrounded by friends and family. But a cost-of-living crisis at home and ongoing conflicts overseas mean others are feeling a sense of stress and even dread. That's led services like the Salvation Army and the Australian Red Cross to step in to make life a little easier for the estimated 1.9 million Australians who will reach out to a charity for help during this holiday season.
