The Bhangra-Dancing British ‘Grannies’ video has once again gone viral. They have a pattern in which they make their videos. The video will start innocently, showing the ‘Grannies’ going about their business in a busy mall or road. Then all of a sudden, they break in to a dance, and not just any dance, the high energy Bhangra dance!

According to , the video of them dancing was shared yesterday by Mohindra Group’s (India) Executive chairman Anand Mahindra with a caption reading: “This should perk up your morning. Proves that no matter where you’re from, your age or your shape, you’ll look cool when you get down and Bhangra!”

This tweet, to no surprise, was shared 700 times in less than five hours.
But if you have ever wondered how these ‘Grannies’ look more energetic than they look, you are not alone. Many have wondered about their seemingly unbound energy. The truth, however, is that they aren’t exactly what they seem to appear. The women dancing in these videos are in fact, actors in their 30s, 40s or 50s. They perform for Fizzog Productions which is a theater company based in England.
The group was formed around two decades ago when they all met in college while studying Community Theatre. So, how does it feel to have their videos go viral?

After another one of their videos went viral, one of the actors who plays an “elderly Granny”, Sue Hawkins told Daily Mail,

“We just cannot believe the reaction we’ve had to the video. We have had a huge response from people in India who loved the Bhangra dacing.”

See what the actors look like without their 'Granny' disguises.
