Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami who spearheads India’s pace attack has been subjected to vicious attack on social media after he posted his family photo on Facebook.
Shami’s posted a photo with wife Hasin Jahan and their daughter on his Facebook page on Sunday. Soon after, a section of his fans began targeting their ire towards the cricketer. The reason was his wife’s outfit.

The comments ranged from trolling to abuse, questioning why Hasin Jahan wasn't wearing a veil.
Though Shami himself did not respond to any of the abusive comments, cricketer Mohammad Kaif came out in his support, calling the comments on Shami’s photo shameful.
“The comments are really really Shameful. Support Mohammed Shami fully. There are much bigger issues in this country. Hope sense prevails,” Kaif tweeted.

Many of Shami's fans also commented to show their support for the 26-year-old paceman.
On Monday, Shami posted another picture with his wife on Facebook and this time with a message for his haters.

"Both of them (wife and daughter) are a part of my life. I know very well what I have to do. It's best for you to first look within yourself," he wrote on Facebook.

Mohammed Shami is currently out of the Indian cricket team, nursing a knee injury. He is considered among the best pacer India currently has.
