Pallavi Sinha is a stylish, dynamic and multifaceted personality - she had varied work experience, ranging from a traditional solicitor position, to positions in the public service and not-for-profit sector, academia and the media.
Pallavi currently works as Principal of Lawyers with Solutions (LWS). She established LWS to deliver innovative advice in areas such as immigration, education and training for public, private and community sector.
She is the only person of Indian-origin appointed to NSW Ministerial Council for Women’s Economic Opportunity and NSW Multicultural Consultation Council of the Anti-Discrimination Board.In recognition of her work, Pallavi was named in the 2016 Australian Financial Review & Westpac 100 Women of Influence Awards.

Pallavi told SBS Punjabi that she feel fortunate to have the opportunity to experience the best of eastern and western culture.
“My parents came here over 40 years ago with my brother. They came here with a few dollars in their pocket and worked hard to reach where they are today,” she said.
“I was born in Australia, and I’m a product of immigration and multiculturalism.

Major challenges you faced and how you overcame them
Especially with advances in technology and increasing demands, it’s not easy to juggle so many things. One has to work hard, stay focussed, and keep going, despite any hurdles one may encounter.
Despite any hurdles, I’ve always persevered on issues such as domestic violence, mental health, addressing social inequities and rewarding hard work, including by speaking on live TV, writing articles and presenting submissions before government committees.

Best advice you were given
My parents: Work hard.
Advice you’d like to give other women
Work hard, stay focused, persevere, and keep going, don’t give up.
Just like a Lotus flower blossoms from murky waters, one can flourish even after experiencing challenges.
