A family from India is facing worst of their nightmares in Australia.

has revealed that Mrs Heir’s family is a victim of visa fraud and the worst kind of exploitation.

This is one of those stories where foreign workers have been rampantly exploited for visa reasons.

The family has given up hope after their visa was refused for a failed sponsorship on 457 visa sub class.

In a desperate bid to gain permanent residency, the family moved from Melbourne to Adelaide where Pawanjeet started working at an Indian restaurant in 2013.

Mrs Heir told Fairfax that she was forced to work for free for this visa sponsorship and the company even demanded money for to support her visa approval.

In October 2015, she was told her visa was cancelled as her job provider was banned for sponsoring employees due to gross irregularities.
The family is under severe stress for visa and financial reasons. Mrs Heir is also struggling to reclaim her unpaid super and wages.

She contacted ATO and the Fair Work Ombudsman but achieved nothing as the job provider company has collapsed.

Mrs Heir’s husband Raj told Fairfax that after the visa refusal their hopes were crushed as they lost everything in one day.
While speaking on Mrs Heir’s case, Mark Glazbrook, a migration agent called on the government to come forward to stop this form of exploitation and to provide some protections to the foreign workers.

The family’s appeal for ministerial intervention has been rejected.

They have very slim hopes from their last appeal at the Federal Court, which is due to hear this matter in May 2017.
