The bodies of an Indian-origin woman and her four-month-old son, who died after they plugned from a high-rise apartment building in Melbourne, will be returned to India.
31-year-old Supraja Srinivas and her four-month-old son Shrihan were discovered at the bottom of Melbourne’s City Point apartment building on Thursday. It is believed Supraja jumped from the balcony of the 29-storey building on the Bourke Street in Docklands.Police believe she as clutching on to her son as she jumped from the sixth floor of the building.

Supraja’s husband Gannaram Srinivas- a software engineer with Tech Mahindra- was admitted to hospital after he collapsed at the scene.The couple also have a five-year-old daughter.

Investigations are expected to look into whether the death was a murder-suicide and the possibility that Ms Srinivas was suffering from post-natal depression, according to the Courier Mail.According to 7 News, police do not believe anyone else was connected to the deaths.

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives will prepare a report for the coroner.
The family is now preparing to take the two bodies to India.
