In a bid to woo Indian students, Study Adelaide, for the first time, has started its ‘Ambassador for Adelaide’ programme for Indian students, offering the winner an all-expenses paid study tour of Australia to explore the opportunities in Adelaide.
Study Adelaide- the nodal body that promotes the city as an education destination for international students- has launched the competition only for Indian students from the southern states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnatka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.At the launch of the campaign in India, Study Adelaide CEO Karyn Kent said, “Ambassador for Adelaide is a student-focused sponsorship programme aimed at promoting the potential of South Australia as a preferred education destination.”

In the ‘Ambassador for Adelaide’ competition, participants are required to submit their key academic achievements and their personal details, besides their hobbies and social media involvement which will be evaluated by the judges. The entrants will be shortlisted to a hundred finalists who will be later invited to deliver a short video speech. The finalists will then be interviewed to select the winner.
The winner will get a free study tour to Australia including a free return flight from India to Adelaide, four weeks study tour in Adelaide and free student accommodation during the stay here. The study tour will have to be planned between June and September 2017.
