'ngiyang' is the Wiradyuri word for ‘language’. In this episode host Lowanna Grant introduces her Pop, Uncle Stan Grant Snr, and the story of his life's work to reclaim the Wiradyuri language. Lowanna shares her own personal language journey, along with stories from other Wiradyuri language learners and teachers about how their lives as Wiradyuri people have been enriched through language.

Uncle Stan Grant Snr has dedicated his life to the Wiradyuri language. In this series you'll hear about the long journey of language reclamation, including constructing the first Wiradyuri language dictionary.
