Korean film Microhabitat is about 31-year-old housekeeper Miso. She has three greatest pleasures: whisky, cigarettes, and her boyfriend that she would never give up. When the cigarettes price hikes in Korea, she made a bold decision, giving up having a roof over her head and begins to couch surf through her old college friends. Miso finds out all of her friends having a house also has missed something.
Microhabitat is South Korean director Jeon Go-woon’s debut film. Ms Jeon was invited the closing night of the 9th Korean Film Festival Australia on 18 August 2018 and meet young Australian audiences who also seems to have hardship.
Ms Jeon talks to SBS Korean program happiness is not something that you can easily achieve even if you try hard but, sometimes, it just slips into you.
“I think finding what you really like and focusing on it is important and I suggest you become a maniac.” Ms Jeon said.
