“Mayang O Mayang.” When will Mas Joko find love?

Joko is the protagonist in the short film “Mayang O Mayang.” He is a young man who lives a lonely life in Jakarta and faces constant rejection in his quest for love. He feels he is a failure.

The film Mayang O Mayang won the judges award for Best Fiction film at this year’s ReelOzInd! Winner.  Young director Sriniti Anggita Puri and producer Fabiana Alam have made a witty and tender film in which aspects of traditional Betawi culture enchant both Joko and the audience.  How did they do it?
