Dilail Abimanyu had the opportunity to talk to one of them, Maharani Mancangara. An artist from Padang who lives in Bandung.
At IOTA24 this time, the woman who is usually called Rani, created a new work called Lauik Sati, Rantau Batuah.
The work is a set of seven images made from charcoal and recycled wood, which tell three folklores from three countries.
These include Malin Kundang from Indonesia, Si Tanggang from Malaysia, and NaKhoda Manis from Brunei Darussalam.
Rani said that these folklores have the same story but have differences in the ending.
