Ms. Lala Noronha, as General Manager of the Kogarah Storehouse foundation, explained the activities of one of its subsidiary, INDOSOS in Kogarah, St George's area, South Sydney.
INDOSOS / Indonesian Social Service Sydney is a community service program formed by Payuguban Priangan Sydney (PPS) in collaboration with the Kogarah Storehouse.
One of its activities is to help fellow Indonesians in Sydney affected by COVID-19, such as students and people who have lost their jobs and are not eligible to get subsidies from the Australian government; then formed INDOSOS.
Some of the services provided are as follows:
- Assistance for basic needs (basic groceries),
- Assistance in the form of Electricity / Gas / Telstra Vouchers,
- Emergency assistance, such as funds to buy medicines prescribed by a doctor.
- Simple food assistance for residents in need.
